The atelier deals with the issue of big elements in the city: going beyond bigness requires indeed to design both the buildings and the space between them: therefore, complexity of design quickly rises to uncontrolled levels. That’s why parametric design is developed as an integral approach, permeating all sides of the project from the pre-design phase – defining functional and non-functional requirements, analysing the climate issues – to the detail level – thus linking design actions to their effects. The project becomes a continuous inquire into the dimension of evaluation and decision making, linking aesthetic, meanings, performances and information.
