Suoli in rovina: ecologie oscure e ipotesi per la coesistenza a Città del Messico
The crisis condition we inhabit has redefined urban soil and design, introducing some ecological notions. Critical Zone alters this spatial conception, allowing to observe the soil as a place of dark ecologies. The case of the valley of Mexico City lends itself as laboratory for its complex geomorphological character: the extension of built soil, to the contraction of the lacustrine soil, has led to subsidence processes. Observing these ruined soils at the edges, near informal settlements, fractures are identified as opaque spaces. It is useful to rethink the possibilities of such interstices, through scenarios where fracture-infrastructures support diverse coexisting ecologies.
