The Architecture Award is an initiative by the Centre for Design Teaching of the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) aimed at valorizing the work of students from the School of Architecture of Politecnico di Torino with the additional objective of promoting  to a wide audience the achievements of its School of Architecture and fostering debate on themes and teaching methods.

The award is open to students of Politecnico di Torino and is divided into two sections

• A - "Thesis" Section.
• B - "Courses" Section for Master's Degrees.

Participation Conditions

Participation is open to individuals enrolled in a Master's Degree Program at Politecnico di Torino during the academic years 2022-23 and/or 2023-24.

Judging Committee

The Jury of the competition is composed of:

• the director of the Department of Architecture and Design;
• 1 member indicated by the board of the School of Architecture;
• 1 member indicated by the Centre for Design Teaching;
• 1 external teacher invited by the board of the School of Architecture;
• 1 external member invited by the director of the Department of Architecture and Design;

Awards

The judging committee will select:

• for section A - "Thesis" a maximum of five works.
• for section B - "Courses" a maximum of five works.

The Jury may also assign a maximum of five honorable mentions for each section.
All award-winning works will be published on the TeleArchitettura website in the Architecture Students Award 2024 section and exhibited in a public exhibition.

Furthermore, the award-winning and mentioned works in section A - "Thesis" will be published on the international platform Archdaily in an article in English including cover images. The award-winning and mentioned works in section B - "courses" will be published on the international platform Dezeen in an article in English including cover images.

Calendar

• Publication of the announcement: 30/05/2024
• Closure of applications: 30/07/2024, 12:00 AM
• Deadline for the conclusion of the Jury's work: 23/10/2024
• Award ceremony for the winners: on the occasion of the opening of the DAD year (October 2024)
• Exhibition opening: November 2024
