Before its oblivion, an urban project proposal that aims to prevent the loss of the last remnants of the military colonial fortresses of Santa Marta in Colombia. The thesis studies the historical significance of the Fortress of San Fernando and its deterioration due to urban expansion. It analyzes fortification projects in Finland, Germany, and Colombia to propose strategies for Santa Marta. Key points are accessibility, community identity, and connection with the landscape, balancing urban growth and heritage conservation. The goal is to develop a cultural and natural urban transition zone around the fortress, to ensure its conservation.
