CITATION – Category: Thesis
In-Between. Bridging Earth to the Moon with the architectural project
Space architecture and process analysis
“In-Between” investigates the theme of space architecture, focusing on designing a lunar settlement and analysing its design process. This work strives to establish a methodological framework, to guide upcoming projects within lunar environments. As studies increasingly support human return and potential habitation on the Moon, analysing the architectural aspects becomes crucial. The thesis shifts from a general view of space projects to analysing lunar settlements through specific processes culminating in architectural design. The work is structured as an investigative journey to establish a connection between the technical and engineering aspects and the socio-cultural dimensions inherent in architectural projects.
