Interfaces
In the Interfaces Studio we explore ways to reframe our work in the spatial design field considering current environmental concerns, ongoing changes in the places we live in, and our attitudes towards times, the legacies of the past, and paradigms of growth. We started discussing “design in context”, with the construction of a library of references and thematic roundtables on multifaceted issues covering how sense of place and placemaking impact communities, the effects of tourism development and migration in sparse settlements, the prospects for the ‘rural’ and ecological conceptualizations of the inhabited world. With an exploration of Alta Langa region, such issues were an opportunity to reconsider conventional approaches to urban regeneration.
