M.Ar.Di.Chi. - Ex Magazzini di Artiglieria e Difesa Chimica

The Atelier develops the project of reusing the built heritage that bears recognizable signs of stratifications susceptible to reinterpretation, recovery and functional integration. The project theme is the rehabilitation of the former Artillery and Chemical Defense Warehouses (M.ar.Di.Chi.), located in Via Bologna in Turin, once an industrial wool mill, then a military area and now in a state of abandonment. Students, through an interdisciplinary approach (architectural composition, technology and building science), were asked to develop a proposal for the enhancement of the complex, starting with the development of a Masterplan (macro-group work) and then delving into two project areas (group work 2- 3 students).
