Atelier Fondamenti di Progettazione D
The atelier is structured in two phases: critical analysis of a case study (redrawings and physical model), design of an artifact in an urban void.
The analysis aims to provide tools for reading forms of contemporary living, and is preparatory to the final project.
In addition to deepening the fundamentals (space, distribution, relationship between building and structure and representation), the design process enables students to address an area dense with cues: the plot is part of an urban 'hinge' full of 'episodes' and nodes of interest. In this sense, net of a simplified functional program, the 'project call' contains a set of rules to introduce them to the variety of the implications of an urban transformation.
