In the atelier, a design process was developed that, starting from the settlement scale oriented towards the development of a metaproject, moved through the building scale and finally reached the detail level. This process is characterized by a strong interconnection between territorial, architectural, construction, and technological dimensions. The project focused on the redevelopment of seven areas affected by settlement and environmental issues, where underused or abandoned building complexes are located. These sites are in Paluzza, a municipality in the Friuli region, in the province of Udine, situated in the Bût Valley in Carnia.
