Progettare e sviluppare l’economia circolare
The course, open to all master's degrees in architecture and design, is a training experience whose objective is to design and develop products and services for various sectors of application, obtained from the reuse of by-products and waste from production activities with a view to product, process and circular supply chain innovation.
Through the “ACTIVATE circularity” exercise, concepts, projects and prototypes were developed to explore the possibilities of activating circular economy processes within local contexts, starting with the reuse of by-products and waste, enhancing the specific characteristics of the context from a social, cultural, technological, economic and environmental point of view.
In addition, in collaboration with the University Sustainability Service, the Green Team, the LaSTIn laboratory (Laboratory of Innovative Technological Systems, DAD), DISAT and the PROGES management, an intensive Circular Design Sprint activity was conducted: a challenge to give a second life to waste materials recovered from the facades of the “scavalchi” construction site on Corso Castelfidardo, in order to create prototypes of furniture for the courtyard of the Department of Applied Science and Technology-DISAT.
